It is with distinct pleasure that I introduce The Youth Needing Organ and Tissue Transplants Foundation (YNOTT?). The YNOTT? Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support to pediatric transplant patients, and increasing awareness for the need of organ and tissue donation through inspirational testimonies.

The vision for The YNOTT? Foundation came to me during a very difficult and emotional time in my life. Just before my twenty-first birthday, during a routine physical, I was diagnosed with end-stage Renal Disease (Kidney Failure). Before long, I found myself adjusting to a life on dialysis. I often questioned, why me, why now? Then I realized, why not me? Why not apply my experiences to offer hope and to help others fight organ failure as I am doing? My passion to help youth like myself inspired me to form the YNOTT? Foundation.

I am currently transitioning into my second chance at life, as I received a kidney transplant October of 2008, from a stranger, who when asked, said "Yes" to becoming an organ and tissue donor! It is my life goal to deliver this same gift to others. I am deeply pleased to have the opportunity to help change and save lives through the YNOTT? Foundation and now I ask you to join me!

With over 109,000 people awaiting a life saving organ transplant in the United States, over 13,000 children, there is a great need to raise awareness to organ and tissue donation. The YNOTT? Foundation actively seeks, and registers organ and tissue donors- hoping to decrease the number of deaths due to a lack of donors. Within the first two years of establishment, The YNOTT? Foundation has provided support to over 250 transplant candidates and recipients, been featured in more than 100+ media spotlights, and received a number of awards and honors for our services in the community.

The YNOTT Foundation has set high goals for 2010. As a foundation, we desire to reach more transplant candidates/recipients and increase our overall presence within the communities we serve. To do this, we are implementing new support groups and outreach programs, aimed at addressing critical issues facing youth transplant candidates- such as coping with a difficult diagnosis, education, and social problems. Our board of directors is enthusiastic about our programs and we hope you make the decision to support our efforts.

The YNOTT foundation is very appreciative of its role in the many lives it has touched and the many lives it has the opportunity to make a difference in. The YNOTT Foundation position stands strong as God is its rock, foundation, and cornerstone. *Everyone deserves to smile and have a second chance at life. Our reward is indeed priceless*.

Please feel free to call us with any questions or if you would like to get involved -- we look forward to working with you!
